So I have an idea for a game mode which I think I will will introduce my friends to the main campaign, I’m posting it here in case others are interested or have any opinions.
I am going to allow the player to start with the set number of build points for their character but no starting weapons.
I have 4 friends who want may want to play
I am splitting it up so players go head to head
1v1 in round 1 (everyone fights once).
At the end of the round every player gets a certain amount of money to spend, this will go up with every round and build points for their character. Players receive this and winning gives no addition advantage.
round 2 everyone will player different players and everyone will fight once again.
round 3 everyone will fight the person they haven’t fought before
round 4 is going to be 2v2
round 5 everyone swaps and it’s 2v2 again
round 6 it’s free for all
winner is declared after round 6 unless there is a tie, then it’s 1v1 to decide the winner
players will fight in an arena about 25 metres in diameter, I might add obstacles in, not decided yet.
I will let everyone know how it goes, I have no idea if it will work yet.
this is designed to be played in an evening session, maybe a few hours Max, so I will get players to create characters beforehand
Arenas (roll a D6 before characters have chosen weapons to choose arena)
A pit with a large boar inside (released half way through and attacks the strongest character)

Start with 25s spending for first round then 25s and 10 build points after each fight
Rounds and who vs who
Depending on number of players, rounds will be split up based on the number of players and players will know in advance so that they can equip themselves based on their fight.
To decide who plays who, every player rolls simultaneously until they match one other person, who they are paired with, the other two remaining roll again. In the case of a three-way match, all three people roll again until two match and one doesn’t. If a duo have previously played against each other then they both re-roll.
Then roll a D6 in order to choose the arena they are fighting at
There will be a number of rounds of two vs two based on how many people, then additional free for all and a final tie braker if needed against the two winners. So, a 4 player match will have 4 rounds of two vs two, and then once everyone will play each other, everyone will fight in an arena against each other, if there is a tie in points at the end then another match is played against the winners (1 point per victory, nothing for a loss).
Money and Build points gained from each battle
A starting currency of 25s is given to each player, and they will receive 25 after each round. So for a four player battle they will end up with 100s for their fourth battle and 125 for the free for all. Player will also get the 25s for the final battle.
Players will get 10 build points to spend after every match
Players can also sell equipment for the same value they purchased it for, everything is purchased in steel. All weapon qualities are common
