So, what is everyone's favorite historical period???? Mine's the Viking Age (I'm a Dane). But I'm also a historian and archaeologist, so I love playing Stories in other periods- the Crusades, Colonial Americas, the Norman Invasion, the Fall of Constantinople, etc. What are YOUR favorite bits of history? If not history, of folklore and legend?

Anything Scottish. Bannockburn 1314 A.D?

I'm of Scottish descent and love learning a bit of scottish history and all its clans.
I'm also a big fan of Sengoku period Japan and anything samurai related.
As a Christian, I enjoy learning of the Crusades as well.
My favorite period and location is England from around 1066 up to the Magna Carta, and the first 3 Crusades. I also like WWII Pacific Theater, and in terms of folklore and legend it's good ol' Robin Hood and King Arthur for the most part.
